Today is the day before Thanksgiving and the last Study Hall before the holiday.
Gratitude has been our topic this week. One of the things we are grateful for is all of the people who have been a part of Study Hall. As some of you may know, Hutt and Keith have been working on a variety of projects, the first of which is about to appear By way of saying thank you to everyone who has made study hall such a great success, Keith and Hutt would like to share the manuscript of their first book, which they will publish in the next few weeks. Because this is a draft, we welcome your comments, criticisms and insights.
Join us today for a very special study hall announcing the book TOUGHER TIMES: A Practical Guide To Getting Through Them by E.B. Hutt Bush and Keith Ferrell.
This week, our topic is gratitude and how it can support our evolution and success.
Keith Ferrell said, “One aspect of gratitude is humility. Our gratefulness reminds us that not only are we not in this alone, we cannot do this alone.”
When we consider all of those who support us and those around us who contribute to the lives we lead, we realize that we are part of something larger than ourselves.
How does this relate to those individuals, groups and communities for which you are grateful.
This week we will be discussing gratitude.
Marcel Proust said: “Let us be grateful to people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.”
All of us have had people in our lives who we are grateful for. It is easy
to get lost in our daily activities, and feel alone in our endeavors. We
must take time to remember those that enrich our lives, and those that
support us in our evolution as human beings.
Who can you think of in your life that has made a significant impact in
growth and development? Take time today to remember those
individuals and be grateful for their influence in your growth.
